Join us for a 7-day Mexican odyssey of spirit and senses!

In collaboration with National Geographic Journeys and G Adventures we invite you to join us on a hosted festive culinary and cultural adventure for Día de Los Muertos - Day of the Dead in Oaxaca, Mexico.

This national Mexican celebration venerates loved ones who have passed from this realm into the next with colourful, ornately decorated orfendas (or alters), specialty culinary dishes, elaborate street parades and marigold laden, candle lit cemetery vigils. Local folklore has it that the spirits of the dearly departed are able to transcend time and space to be in spirit with their loved ones on this day when the veil between heaven and earth briefly parts. Day of the Dead is particularly enchanting in Oaxaca where celebrations reach epic proportions when ancient Aztec and Maya rituals interweave with colonial catholic lore in this, the great Mestizo and Indigenous heartland of Mexico.

This trip highlights the region's culinary feats, local textiles, folk art, artisanal mezcal production, regional history, and pre-Columbian and colonial architecture

After 7 days in and around Oaxaca city and surrounding villages the offcial tour ends and the optional activites begin!

Join us as we travel west to the coastal town of Mazunte for some warm Mexican seaside hospitality before a grand celebratory closing ritual sees us off, back to each of our places of origin.**

**Extending your travels before or after the tour can be done at an additional cost. Get in touch, and we'll fill you in on the many options and things to see and do int he area!
